ACTIS, the Alectris Solar ERP software platform, to be the center point of asset care services offered for Spain’s roughly 4.7 GW’s of installed solar PV

MILAN, Italy and BARCELONA, Spain – 2 December 2015: Alectris, a leading global solar asset care innovation firm, and Optimal Sun, a solar photovoltaic operations and maintenance specialist in Spain, today announced their alliance to offer energy optimization strategies for the country’s roughly 4.7 gigawatt’s (GWs) of installed photovoltaic plants. The center point of the alliance is the Alectris award winning Solar ERP asset management software platform, ACTIS, which will be translated into Spanish for use by the country’s solar owners and investors. The companies will also collaborate on solar operations and maintenance (O&M) best practices to leverage global market lessons to increase solar PV performance in the Spain and Portugal regions.

ACTIS – Award Winning Solar ERP for Solar PV Portfolio Operations, Maintenance and Management

The world’s first solar ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), ACTIS was developed by Alectris to manage its client PV assets. The software was created within a holistic approach to solar asset care integrating solar monitoring, operations and maintenance and asset management.

ACTIS, now in use in over 300 solar PV megawatt’s (MWs) globally, is an award winning software platform. In 2014 it was recognized with a Bronze Facilities Management Award in Operations Management. This year Facilities Management awarded ACTIS a Silver Award in the Best Management Tools competition category, improving the classification obtained in 2014.

In addition to the ACTIS Solar ERP platform, Alectris will support Optimal Sun with its solar operations and maintenance expertise amassed through extensive global experience. Optimal Sun will lead the language translation of ACTIS to Spanish and market entry activities for Alectris in Spain.

The collaboration expands the worldwide solar industry presence of Alectris. The company currently operates in Greece, Italy, Jordan and the United States. This alliance will also serve existing Alectris Italy based clients, many of whom have solar PV plants in Spain.

“Optimal Sun brings local market leadership supported by extensive solar PV expertise to our alliance,” explains Vassilis Papaeconomou, Managing Director of Alectris. “We will funnel best practices, gained from our extensive portfolio and through our involvement with leading solar O&M efforts worldwide, into our work in Spain. With Optimal Sun we have an excellent, proven solar PV partner.

The team plans to initially deploy ACTIS in 30 MW’s of solar PV in Spain for commercial and utility scale sites in the medium term.

“Our solar market in Spain is mature but fractured when it comes to operations, maintenance and plant management,” said Salvador Andreu, Managing Director for Optimal Sun. “By joining forces with Alectris we can move quickly to offer sophisticated asset care products and services, tested and efficient means to optimize existing solar PV parks.”
